Monday, November 9th, Alachua County will begin using a new permitting software. Emails will be sent to all registered contractors with emails on file with details about account setup. As part of the migration, the Building Department will stop accepting new building permit applications at noon on Friday, November 6. Applications may resume in the new system beginning Monday, November 9th. Requests for inspections Friday, November 6th, must be made either by 4 PM on the inspection phone line (352-374-5240) or by midnight on our Permit Tracker website on Thursday November 5th. Inspection requests for Tuesday, November 10th or later can be made in our new system beginning Monday, November 9th. No inspections will be scheduled for Monday, November 9th.
